An Easy-To-Follow Guide To Item Upgrading

World of Warcraft - Item Upgrading

The item upgrade allows players to boost the gear rating of an item by up 700 points, and then give it a bonus. Items can be upgraded if they are in your inventory and you bring them to the kiln.

Certain items can be upp'd for their unique stats (like an ideally broken point armour that is rolled for melee PvP) and others, like weapons, do not change significantly after an upgrade and thus aren't worth upgrading.

Weapons

Upgrades to weapons can increase their numerical stats, including attack damage, crit chance and PvE/PvP damage. Weapons come with a flat-rate bonus that increases damage per second. In addition some weapons come with an added bonus that is activated when three or more of the same weapon are equipped on a unit. In some cases this bonus could amount to more than the amount of damage a weapon can sustain on its own.

The cost of upgrading a weapon is based on the quality of the weapon and its current level. For example, an +2 weapon requires two standard Smithing Stones while a+3 requires four. The number of stones required to upgrade a weapon will continue to increase until it is required to use an upgrade to a higher level of Smithing Stones, at which the amount will be reset to one.

Upgrades to weapons can also reroll the stats of their base. While this is generally an excellent thing, it can have some negative consequences too. In the case of items that only see use in a specific build (Whistant's shield for FB sorcs, for instance) upgrading them could render them unusable unless you happen to have an extremely lucky roll.

Items of armor can also be upgraded to increase their stats. For instance, if you have chests or helms, it will boost its defense base while a belt and gloves will increase their strength and dexterity. Armor also has an option to reroll its Enhanced Defense%, meaning that it can sometimes roll back to a lower number.

The upgrade template of a weapon will show the new stats it will gain after upgrading along with the values of these stats. This means that an upgrade from a sword that has 8 damage to an 11 attack-damage sword will result in the weapon gaining 3% of attack damage. The 3% doesn't mean that the weapon will be hit 3 times less, as it is an absolute number.

Rerolling a weapon is possible by pressing the green button in the item menu, using the arrows that circle. This will reroll the item and alter its stats however, it will not reset the weapon's level or tie it to the account status.

Armor

A few armor upgrades can make the world of difference to your survival. Certain sets offer massive boosts to poison or curse, fire or magic resistance, making it easier to navigate through tough terrain. In general, the more defense you have for your character, the more health you can get from each point. Therefore,  item upgrades  is recommended to upgrade your armor.

To upgrade your armor, head to any of the Great Fairy Fountains in the game. There are four Great Fairy Fountains within the game and to unlock them all, you must complete a side quest that involves the Stable Trotters. Once you've completed the main quest and the associated fountains, you can talk to any Great Fairy in order to unlock the armor upgrade menu.

Each piece of armor can be upgraded to three levels and the amount of material and Rupees required to complete each will vary. It is possible to use anything between three Red Chuchu jelly and 10 Rupees to upgrade your first armor piece, and between five Rubies or 10 Fire-Breath Horns to upgrade each subsequent one. For instance the Champion Leathers can be upgraded to +5 defense, which allows you to keep up with a decent-sized group of enemies in most cold environments, and the Snowquill Headdress can be upgraded up to +20 defense, providing the protection needed to survive the full-on assault with a handful of friends.

It isn't possible to upgrade armor the same as weapons. If you're playing as a Warrior it is best to focus on upgrading your armor to increase physical power or the power of spells. It's also worthwhile to save your armor upgrades to use for armor you'll wear at the end of the game, like the Ring of Lightning and Spectral Shield, or the helmet you'll wear to fight the final boss and the Monter Parts Merchant's mask.

You can also gain advantages to your armor by presenting the jeweler in Gerudo Town 10 Twinkling Titanite. In general, you should keep these upgrades for the weapon you'll be using to win the game, like the Longsword, Battleaxe or Warhammer However, it is beneficial to have a few improvements to the helmets and chest armor that let you stealthy battle some monsters.

Potions

Potions are liquids that when consumed by a player, give the player with a temporary effect. There are five kinds of potions that have different effects and durations. Some potions can be upgraded to enhance their effectiveness. You can also enhance the effects of certain potions by including glowstone dust and redstone.

Potion upgrades require a certain amount XP. This can be obtained through crafting them on a crafting table, or by storing them in the Alchemist chest. The upgrade price varies depending on the type of potion used and the item's rarity and Mark Level.

To upgrade a potion, right-click on it in your inventory and select the "Upgrade" option from the menu. This will open an GUI that allows you to select the potion you want to upgrade and the amount of experience they'll give you when upgraded. You can upgrade potions in batches up to five at once, and their XP will be added to the total amount of XP you have.

Once a potion is upgraded, it will not degrade unless you make use of it again or break the bottle in the container it is kept. Clicking on the potion in your inventory will allow you to rename it.

Version 1.7.2 introduced a few modifications to the mechanism of potions. Splash potions, for instance are now available with a time of 0:08 instead of the 22.5 seconds shown on the hover display for the item. The potion table can now be crafted with four Wood Planks and two Glass. It can be utilized in both Survival and Bedrock. Bedrock Edition potions aren't compatible with cauldrons, unlike Java Edition. The same is true for the use of a potion in a cauldron that is full. This will drain the potion, and refill the bottle.

In addition, there are lingering potions that are brewed with splash and dragon breath potions. Redstone can also be added to lingering potions to extend their effect. The potion table has been rearranged to appear more like the Java Edition. New potions are also added, such as the potion of leaping and decomposition.

Trinkets

A trinket can be an ornamental item that is small, cheap or piece jewelry. It could also be an ornament or object that serves a purpose, but isn't important, like a Thimble. In some traditions, trinkets are used to signify friendship or affection, especially between family members.

In addition to armor, weapons and potions, players can upgrade their trinkets. Upgrades can be purchased by paying the appropriate currency to an upgrade vendor. Trinkets, unlike other items that can be upgraded can be swapped at will without losing stats.

The upgrade vendors can be found in major cities and in the capital of each zone, as well as in some instances in dungeons. Upgrades for trinkets can be bought with tokens, gold or fragments of a rare trinket.

Upgrades to trinkets are an economical alternative to buying new ones. It can be done by a player for just 12 tokens. The new trinket will feature the same base ilvl as older one, and come with an additional 1% upgrade bonus.

Trinkets can be upgraded once they're no longer needed, allowing a player to increase their power and worth over time. They can also be traded between players and are a popular alternative to gold.

In general players should upgrade their most important items first. This typically means the top-of-the-line items for their class, then their secondaries, and finally other pieces of gear that they won't replace soon (for instance, a ring or cloak). Players should also consider their class's preferred stats when choosing which items to upgrade. If Haste and Crit are two of the most important stats for a tank player then they should consider upgrading their chest, helm and shoulders.

Trinkets can be re-upgraded to a higher level once they are no longer useful and the new trinket can be upgraded to have an additional upgrade bonus of 1. Re-upgrading will cause the trinket to be destroyed unless it is saved using the help of a Black Lion Salvage Kit, or a salvage tool. Upgrades to trinkets can be more expensive than other upgrades but still less expensive than buying a new one.
